Tengri is Discoverable - What's Tengriism?
INTRODUCTION - Tengri is Discoverable-
“The religion of the white man was
inscribed on stone tablets with an iron finger by an angry God, lest you forget
him, and our religion consists of the traditions of our ancestors, the dreams
given to our elders by the Great Spirit, the visions of our shamans, and is
written in the hearts of our people.”

As humanity, we tried to
understand and make sense of God for centuries. Did we feel like it had a
nonexistent presence and played theater? Or could we not find and prove it even
though we knew it existed? Or have we worshiped the wrong 'gods' for years in
vain?
Humans are beings who struggle to exist in the world with certain
limitations biologically and must constantly improve themselves in order to
exist. We have seen places that our eyes cannot see with telescopes and
microscopes; we opened the deaf ears with speakers and battery systems. We
discovered and found the magnet, the unseen gravity; we started to understand
and use infrared and ultraviolet rays.
Radiation has become an entity that we
cannot see with our eyes, but perceive through various ways and procedures. Our
grandfathers died unaware of these discoveries. Maybe they also knew and
understood that nature has an energy, the existence of things that we cannot see
or hear with our eyes, but they died before they could fully prove it.
Scientists do the work inherited from them today. As the Tengri belief suggests,
it is necessary to work on the path of science, without being hostile to nature,
and to make sense of nature.
The world is a huge organism, perhaps a small cell
of a big body. It doesn't change anything if it looks huge to us.. The world may
be a big cell for little people like us, but a small cell for a big body that we
can't perceive. The bottom line is, there is a lot we don't know.
Tengrism
preaches: understand and question nature.
What is the Meaning of Life
The
meaning of life for a wise man is to seek what the meaning of life is. This is
an adventure, this is an occupation, this is a war, and this is a sensation,
pleasure, above material pleasures. Seeking the meaning of life rather than an
answer to what the meaning of life is will cause life itself to be lived and
felt.
Every question asked against this vast sky, nature and creatures; Each
questioning made will bring people one step closer to life and even take them
into life. The person who is busy questioning the meaning of life will not feel
that she is living meaninglessly while ending her life. When there are no more
questions to ask, man's life is over. Yet even on her deathbed there is a
question on her mind: “When i die, what will happen to me?”
When you "really"
realize that the meaning of your life is to question your life, you will feel
that you don't need any religious authority and perhaps you will be crushed by
the weight of your freedom.
It will not be possible to grasp Tengrism as a
whole. Because you will be in constant questioning, you will need to increase
your experience about nature.
Tengricism is no more than the art of wise
interpretation of man's experience with nature. By shedding a light on the
meaning of life, you will realize that the power of man, the unity of all
created beings - all living and non-living - are shaped by Tengri's natural
forces. .
In your life that you add meaning in this way, you will realize that
you do not need to be intimidated by punishment or convinced with reward to be a
good person, based on the fact that all the beings around you are as precious as
you.
